You’ve purchased a Manfrotto Digital Director and you’re ready to go, right? Wrong! Don’t forget the accessories!

The Digital Director is an advanced tethered photography solution comprised of three main components: a user-supplied iPad, an Apple Certified Digital Director iPad holder with a built-in microprocessor, and the Digital Director app. These components work together to seamlessly allow the photography to manage the entire photo workflow from the settings of your camera to the sharing of your pictures via an iPad.

Once setup, you’ll realize that you need power! The JerkStopper for Digital Director is a must-have piece of gear when you use the Digital Director with batteries and a long tether cable. Now you can move around while holding your iPad without worry that you’ll pull the USB cable out of the back of the tablet.

Since the other end of the Digital Director will be connected to your camera, make sure that you protect that port and cable as well. Want to be fully protected for frustrating disconnects? We’ve bundled the JerkStopper for Digital Director with our very popular JerkStopper Camera Support to create the JerkStopper Digital Director Tethering Kit.

TetherPro USB and FireWire Cables

If you want to be more than 3′ (1 meter) from your camera while shooting with the Digital Director, you may want to pick up a 15′ (4.6m) TetherPro cable. Our TetherPro cables have gold plated connectors for corrosion resistance to ensure consistent and reliable conductivity. The cables also have reinforced Ferrite core to filter out signal noise and reduce transmission errors and full-lined shielding to protect against external signal interference.

There are many different types of USB and FireWire cables and port connections and it may be hard to know which cable will work best with your equipment.

Visit the Cable Finder page on TetherTools.com to find the cable you need!
