CamRanger is excited to announce the Windows Beta version of CamRanger. The main functionality features: wireless image capture to tablet or computer, live view, touch and incremental focusing, camera setting control, image transfer and review as well as focus stacking. The Windows version was officially tested on Windows 7 and Windows 8. Currently, Windows XP is not supported.
It is also important to take note of the differences between Windows 8 Pro (or just “regular” Windows 8) and Windows 8 RT. Windows 8 RT has only the “metro” UI and is, under the hood, a different operating system geared for tablets. Windows 8 Pro is the Windows 7 successor and is for regular computers and high end tablets. CamRanger currently only supports Windows 8 Pro.
