Adobe Launches Lightroom for Apple TV

Adobe officially launched Lightroom on the Apple TV today, giving photographers an easy, streamlined way to display their edited photos on a high-definition TV. There are no editing features, this is simply a convenient way to display your photos for clients, art directors, models, makeup artists, assistants and others.
“All your photos, are always available with your latest edits. In Lightroom for Apple TV, you can view and share all of your synced Lightroom photos including photos you’ve uploaded via Lightroom CC on your desktop, Lightroom on mobile, or Lightroom on the web,” says Adobe. View the pictures individually or in a slideshow, and even pan/zoom on pictures as desired.
Apple TV is compatible with any HDTV with an HDMI connection, and this setup seems like it’d be ideal for displaying images in your studio as a visual scrolling portfolio, for sales purposes, or to discuss themes with a client.
Using the app, you’ll be able to share your best edited photos with clients in your studio, or discuss current or past shots with your crew for inspiration or direction.
Want to start viewing images on your TV via Lightroom? The Lightroom for Apple TV setup requires an Apple TV 4th Gen as well as a Creative Cloud subscription to login. The app can be downloaded for free from the App Store on your Apple TV, and is available right now.
Mounting a TV in studio is made easy with the Studio Vu-2 Monitor Mount from Tether Tools. The mount holds monitors up to 85lbs and can be mounted to common c-stands and light stands utilizing the standard 5/8″(16mm) Baby Junior pin.
