MacOS Sierra May Break Compatibility With Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop

    Apple’s newest operating system, macOS 10.12 (Sierra) was released just a few weeks ago and while the excitement to immediately update is significant, especially given the breadth of new features in Sierra, there may be a compatibility problem with older versions of Adobe Lightroom. Adobe has confirmed that their engineers are working on a complete solution for a future update, but for the time being the good news is that Lightroom CC 2015.7 and Lightroom 6.7 (available now), do work on Sierra. In any new software it is possible for minor bugs to still popup, but Adobe assures us that it has been extensively tested, and all known issues have been fixed. If you haven’t yet updated to your Apple operating system, Adobe recommends that customers update Lightroom to the current version before updating macOS Sierra. In addition to the bug fixes including compatibility solutions for the newly released macOS Sierra, Adobe Lightroom CC 2015.7 and Lightroom 6.7 also adds lens profile support and RAW support. Plus, Lightroom makes it easier to sync content between devices using drag-and-drop into ‘All Synced Photographs,’ and to always use Smart Previews in the Develop Module (regardless of whether the original files are available). Adobe has also rolled out new camera support:
