Joanie Simon is a Food Photographer, Author, and Content Creator. A Phoenix, Arizona native, Joanie specializes in commercial and editorial food photography. Joanie has been a food lover all her life and in her late 20s she ended up with a camera in her hands. The two combined created a dream career that makes her excited to get out of bed every morning. What does she do? That’s a great question!
Commercial and Editorial Food Photography – Joanie’s “bread and butter” is creating drool-worthy images with awesome clients. From magazine covers to cookbooks, website banners to social media, as long as food is involved, Joanie is excited to shoot it.
Joanie feels honored to have captured images for awesome commercial food clients including Hyatt Hotels, Coach’s Oats, Ocean’s Halo, Lundberg Family Farms, Shamrock Farms, MOINK!, and numerous cookbooks.
YouTuber – Joanie is an educator at heart and in 2017 she started sharing videos on YouTube about how to capture food in photos. The channel, The Bite Shot, quickly took off and she feels honored to teach and lead a community of over 250,000 enthusiastic food photographers.
Food Blogging –Joanie’s photography career started in food blogging and she has had various food blogs dating back to 2006. She loves sharing her favorite tried and true recipes at The Dinner Bell and spending time in her kitchen being creative.
When she is not YouTubing or taking pictures of food, Joanie is spending time with her two boys and college sweetheart on their “Ranchito” (it’s a little ranch) in Arizona.
