If you are a user of the popular online file backup service Dropbox, you can setup Case Air to auto download images to your Dropbox, backing up your tethered session in real-time. It does require you to have the Dropbox desktop software installed on the computer you are shooting, but it’s very simple to setup.
Setting download location on Mac version of Case Remote app.
If you’re unsure of how set the download location for Case Air in the Case Remote app, read how for Mac here or for Windows here.
1. When you set up Dropbox’s desktop software, it creates a folder, usually in your Documents or My Documents folder, where it will sync files from your Dropbox account and your computer.
2. When you start a new wireless tethering session with the Case Air, choose or create a folder in your Dropbox sync folder for the destination of the shots.
3. Shoot as you normally would. The files will be stored locally in your Dropbox folder until you connect to the Internet.
Even though your computer isn’t connecting to the internet during the session, you can still utilize this setup. Once you reconnect, the Dropbox software will see you have new files in the folder and automatically start backing them up.
