The new Case Relay Camera Power System introduces the first uninterruptible power system for DSLR and Mirrorless cameras to achieve consistent power with any common 5V USB battery pack or wall power. This technology provides, for the first time ever, a hot swappable, uninterrupted power source for most DSLR and Mirrorless cameras on the market today.
Case Relay meets the demands of filmmakers and photographers for whom consistent camera up-time is critical. Stopping video or photo production to remove cameras from stands to change batteries is a challenge of the past. Case Relay’s secondary 1,200 mAh charge, means you can swap out power sources mid-shoot and maintain 100% uptime.
Case Relay is compatible currently with many Canon, Nikon, Sony and Panasonic cameras and can be powered by any 5V USB power bank and/or any 2.1+A USB Wall Adapter.
Here’s what you’ll need to maximize the power of the Case Relay Camera Power System:
First, it’s critical to find your Relay Camera Coupler as the Case Relay cannot power your camera without one. The Relay Camera Coupler is inserted directly into your camera battery port, then connected to the Case Relay CPS – powering your camera.
Find the compatible Relay Camera Coupler version at www.tethertools.com/relay.
Now that your Relay Camera Coupler and Case Relay are all connected, you’ll need power. There are two methods you could use: a 5V USB external battery pack or AC power source. Tether Tools new Rock Solid External Battery Pack packs a punch with 10,000 mAh of power and provides 3 to 10 times the power of most camera batteries, depending on the camera. Add an orange or black Silicone Sleeve to protect your battery pack.
In lieu of using a 5V USB external battery pack, you could attach a 16 foot USB cable to the Case Relay and run it to the Rock Solid Dual USB to AC Wall Adapter plugged into the wall. The USB cable acts as an extension cord and powers the Case Relay. This is an ideal setup for studio photographers and photo booths.
If you have an extra extension cord or have a power strip on your Tether Table, you can power the Case Relay directly with AC wall power! Simply plug the Case Relay Camera Power System into a Rock Solid Dual USB to AC Wall Adapter then into either the aforementioned extension cord or power strip, and you’re off to the races! It’s really that easy. The wall power keeps your Case Relay and camera fully charged so you can keep shooting all day long.

The Tether Tools Cable Organization Case (Standard) is an easily accessible, durable storage case for tethering cables, straps, and cable retention devices. Keep your gear together and hang easily from any standard tripod.
Secure your Case Relay and 5V USB external battery pack to the leg of any tripod or light stand. The StrapMoore’s interior GripperElastic straps enable one to secure just about anything needed near a camera or computer. Heavy duty GripperElastic lines the interiors of both the leg and object straps ensuring gear is well secured and won’t slide.
The Tether Tools StrapMoore Extender enables items to be secured to any camera strap or belt without the risk of items falling or sliding. Heavy duty GripperElastic lines the interior ensuring gear is well secured and won’t slide. Now you can put larger items where you want them, when you need them, during photo shoots.
